Royal Dutch Shell Group is a world-renowned large multinational oil company, established in 1907. It has always been held 60% by Royal Dutch Petroleum Company and 40% by Shell Transport and Trading Company (UK). Both parent companies are publicly listed, with shares of Royal Dutch Petroleum Company traded on nine stock exchanges including Amsterdam, London, New York, and Zurich, while shares of Shell Transport and Trading Company are traded on five exchanges including London, New York, and Paris. The Group is primarily engaged in upstream and downstream oil and chemical operations, with its headquarters located in The Hague, Netherlands, and London, UK. In the 2014 Fortune Global 500 ranking, Shell Petroleum topped the list. Its business scope includes petroleum, natural gas, coal, chemicals, metals, and others.
